I cannot find articles that I saved to a file in Ebscohost yesterday. Where would those articles have gone?

Unless the folder that you were saving to was a personal folder in Ebscohost, you cannot save articles at all. The only way you can save articles in Ebsco for future use is to create your own sign in when in Ebscohost.
Did you sign in to Ebscohost? (That means did you sign in by going to the white sign in link at the top of the ebscohost database with your own password and id) If you signed in with your own password and id that you created inside ebscohost (this would not be the same as your login to the ou portal), then you should be able to retrieve any files that you actually saved to Ebscohost.
If on the other hand, you just checked articles, and they were saved to the file in Ebsco that was not a personal file, and you left the database for any reason, then they will not stay in your folder since it is not a personal folder.
