I am trying to locate the merriam-webster dictionary via the ottawa library so that I may look up definations for my paper so that I can site them.

If you click on our CredoReference database link and find the link for Dictionaries, and go down to English you will have a variety of English Dictionaries to choose from. The Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary happens to be one of them.
