research for my health ecomonics class
Answer
Hello
I would suggest that you do one of two things. We now have a LibGuide for Nursing and Medical Resources that would provide you with information about the Healthcare/Medical databases that we currently subscribe to and you can go directly into any of them. Go to http://ottawa.libguides.com and look for the Nursing and Medical Resources guide.
If you want to go to the databases instead, I would login to the OU Portal and go to the Online Library Databases Link on the Myers Library Online Page. I would click on Ebscohost and choose the Healthcare databases that you see in Ebscohost by checking the boxes next to them. You should be able to search four databases at a time. I would check the Health Source Nursing/Academic Edition and Medline and start out by searching across those. Put "healthcare AND policy" in the searchbox and limit your search to full-text and scholarly articles by checking those boxes at the bottom of your search box.
If you don't find enough information, I would go to LexisNexis Academic and go to the blue boxes on the left hand side and chose "Subject Areas" then click on Health and Medical Care. A search box for just that topic will open. Put your search in the box and you should find full-text artcles.
