Question: How do I know if they are scholary text? My instrustor thought there was a way to check that?

You would have to choose the scholarly and peer-reviewed journals by checking a box beneath the searchbox if you use the Ebscohost database. You also have an option to check a box below the search box too to limit your search to full-text only. If you do that before entering the terms in your search, you should find scholarly articles from peer-reviewed journals that are full-text once you complete your search.
