I want to gather facts on influenza from the CDC website, but the information doesn't list a specific author. Can I use basic information in my research paper (which is to be peer reviewed/scholarly) and if so, how to I cite and list as a reference?

Answer

Hi Kathy

I sent some message to your phone, but here I will just summarize again.

We have an APA tutorial that can help you with citing. It is located at http://ottawa.libguides.com

look for the APA site.  Also here is a link that will show you how to cite the CDC website or any other website for your papers

go to http://www.easybib.com/reference/guide/apa/website

Also the  OWL Purdue website also describes how to do this on their Electronic Sources page

http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/10/

If you need further help with citing please contact me at 785-248-2536 or email me back on Virtual Librarian.
