I am trying to find information on adult sleep disorders. I would also like information on school violence specifically what is being done to address this issue. I would also like to know how to determine if information on the internet is peer reviewed material? Thank you.
I am writing a couple of research papers and had trouble navigating the online library.

Answer

Hello Louis

For both topics I would suggest using the databases in Ebscohost. For your sleep disorders topic I would suggest combining the following databases: Academic Search Premier, Medline, PsychArticles, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection and CINAHL.  Combine them by clicking the checkbox next to each. When you are done click continue. You will then see the searchbox. Before entering the search, look below the box to the search limiters and limit your search to full-text and peer-reviewed by clicking the checkboxes next to them.

For your search on school violence; I would do a separate search using the Academic Search Premier and Education Research Databases. Follow the directions I gave you above by checkmarking them and then clicking continue. You should find plenty of articles on your topic.

If you need more help or information email me back or call me at 785-248-2536.
