Question: I am having a hard time finding how to search for peer reviews ....
This is an example of how you could conduct a research search for a paper you would write at Ottawa University. Follow the steps below to find this article on EbscoHost: Hughes, K. (2011). Collaboration paints a bright future for arts education. Journal Of Staff Development, 32(1), 44-46.

Click on the Online Library Databases and select EbscoHost as your database.
Once there select a few databases to minimize your results and hit select.
Change the published dates to 2000-2013
Check the scholarly (peer reviewed) box
List the title of the article in top box

Don't know what I am doing wrong.

Answer

HI Tina

Give me a call and I can walk you through the process. The information you were given is not incorrect. If you login with your OUID and password to myottawa.ottawa.edu find the online databases on the right hand side of the page and click that link. Once in the databases you must find Ebscohost. Once in Ebscohost, choose about three databases (make sure you read and see which fits your topic) by checkmarking them and then pressing continue. Then you will have a search box come up. Before entering any terms go below the search box and checkmark peer-review and scholarly and full-text options. Then enter your search in the box.

Give me a call if you need direct help 785-248-2536. I am in the office until 6pm CST.
