I am having difficulty finding sources for various topics. I do not believe I am navigating Ebscohost corrrectly. Any tips you can give me?

For instance, I have to have peer reviewed articles, and of course need full text so I can read the article/articles. I type in "curricululm study" because the question asks what is a curriculum study. On the search box I typed in curriclulum study and found no articles that talk about what a curriculum study is. Can you help?

Answer

Hello Jody

Can you please tell me what the actual question is that you were asked to research?

I would suggest three things right now. I ebscohost, I would limit the search to articles in the Education Research Complete Database, so I would only check that database and then do my search. I would also look below the searchbox at the limit your search area, and limit the search to scholarly articles which are peer-review articles and to full-text only. There are two boxes to check in the area below the searchbox before doing your search. I would try the search. Then I would try the search you did again and watch the searchbox guide options that are given to you as you enter your search. See what ebscohost suggests you use for your search topic.

If you have further questions about searching, please email me back at the email below or call me at the number below. I will be in the office here until 5pm CST today.

Thanks.
