Answer

Hi Candace

By ACA, I presume you mean the Affordable Care Act? Here's a rule of thumb when you write a paper about any form of legislation: You have to say how it began, give some history and then explain why it was created, what led up to it. You have to put the legislation into context before you start making conclusions or talk about the issues people are facing today. You also have to explain what it is and how it works before you can write about what it does and why it is important to Americans.

You can find lots of information about the Act in our Ebscohost databases. Try searching across Academic Search Premier and those Nursing and Medical databases that are in the suite of databases like: Medline, Cinahl and even Social Science Index Full-text. Make sure you limit your searches by checking the boxes below the databases to full-text and peer reviewe before conducting your search. Two other database that are useful for medical/healthcare-related searches are CCH Intelleconnect and LexisNexis Academic.

If you have any further questions about finding resources, please don't hestitate to call me at the number below or contact our front desk.
