"Another OU man deserves worthy mention here: "Old Red" Baughman. He is one of Ottawa's foremost grocers but incidentally coaches the Ottawa H.S. team in such stunts as he himself enjoyed in college. The team is a marvel in its playing but we are not surprised when we know who is behind it". (pg.32)
What this means is that he was not a coach but a volunteer since he was never listed as an OU coach per se. He coached the boys team in what used to be called the OU Academy (which was the High School that existed into the 1920's at OU alongside the OU College); and we have very little information in yearbooks about the Academy sports in the early years.
