Olympe de Gouges, Declaration of the Rights of Women and Female Citizens (1791)

I am trying to locate reference materials scholarly articles that reference this work as well as any biographical sources for the author, Olympe de Gouges.

Answer

Hello Kevin

I sent you full-text four articles from the databases to your OU email, after combining Academic Search Premier, History reference center, European Views of the Americas.

If you go to the Myers Library Online Page and find Ebscohost and search the two ebook collections, there are 7 books that are available there as well on the topic. You might also try our Encyclopedia Britannica and Credo reference databases for some reference sources on your topic. I would also suggest that to find books on your topic you go and do a search in the Kansas Library Catalog and the OCLC First Search database. The first is the union catalog for all Kansas libraries and the second is the union catalog for all the US libraries. I checked our catalog and we do not have the 1791 book, but we do have books on the declaration of independence that you can check out. If we do not own a book that you find in the union catalogs, we can order it for you on Interlibrary Loan (ILL). If you need to get an ILL then please contact jan.lee@ottawa.edu or stop by her office to place your order. It takes 7 days or more to get a book, depending on where it is coming from.

If you have any further questions the please contact me at 785-248-2536.

Thanks

Gloria Creed-Dikeogu, Director, Ottawa University Library
