how come when I type in a word into search it comes back with nothing.
Answer
Hi Maria
The databases often have set boolean search terms e.g. there are set subject terms that are chosen over others. It is my guess that you have typed in a term that does not exist as a search term in that specific database, so you have to look for synonyms (similar words) and also combine different words with AND. Try different terms until you do find articles. Don't give up when you don't find any. It just means that you have to try again to search with different terms, or you must change the database you are searching in. Do also make sure that the database you are searching fits the subject you are searching for.
