Jim Nobles was a student. In 1965 he was the Civil Rights Chair in Stuco. The Civil Rights Board was founded in 1967 and it continued until 1969 when it became the Civil Rights Committee.
Goals would have been---To sponsor activities of interest to the Black students on the OU Campus; Having the organization participate in university activities that were not inclusive in the past of Black students;
Members working outside of OU in the community: in conjunction with the high school in Ottawa— and students of color not functioning at their best capacities in the school to help them deal with integrated schooling and the racism experienced by these students during the 1960’s
