After defining what an formal vs an informal educational experience is; I would then do searches in Ebscohost's Education Ressearch Complete database. I would limit my searches by going boxes below the search box and limiting to scholarly and peer-reviewed searches. Then I would try different topic combinations and combine them with AND until you find the full-text articles that you are looking for. Try different synonyms as well.
