Digital literacy in developing countries for one laptop per child or similar programs?

I search in Ebscohost but received no information.
Where else can I search?
Thanks!

Answer

Hello James

With a question like that one it is best to focus your search for this program on one specific country, then you will get less articles that are focused on one program. I went to the website of one laptop per child and there are many countries there you can choose from e.g. Uruguay, India, Peru, Nepal, Kenya, Rwanda. I went to the Ebscohost databases and tried the search: one laptop per child AND Uruguay. I did this search using a combination of databases: Academic Search Premier, Computer Source and Education Research Complete by checking the boxes next to them and then clicking continue.  When I got the search box I limited my search to full-text and peer-review by checking the boxes below the search box. I found 4 articles on one laptop per child and its program in Uruaguay. When I just put in the topic  one laptop per child and did not combine it with any country, I found 28 articles in full-text. You are welcome to replicate my searches.

If you need to find other programs, I would suggest that you look them up on the internet and then try to combine search terms and use the same databases.

if you have any further questions about this search please email me back or call me at 785-248-2536.
