I am not able to access Link Source to read the articles I need for my research paper. What do I need to do?

LinkSource cannot be used to read articles. If you are having to link to LinkSource then that means that you are trying to access an article that  we do not have in full-text in our databases. If this is the case then either go back to the database and redo your search and limit it to search only peer-reviewed full-text articles by checking those boxes, because you should be able to find full-text articles on any topic in Ebscohost without having to resort to abstracts.

Let me ask you a question: when you are using LinkSource and you click on it, is it prompting you for an id and password for a second time, when you are already logged in? If not, and LinkSource is in fact working, then it should be taking you either to a page saying that you need to get an Interlibrary Loan for this article by contacting ill@ottawa.edu or it is sending you out to Google Scholar to try to find full-text of the article we do not have in our databases.

If however the article you need is specific, then you need to contact Jan Lee at jan.lee@ottawa.edu or at ill@ottawa.edu so that she can get it for you. It takes anything from 3-8 days to get an article that we do not have in full-text for you.

If you have further questions about LinkSource and you are in fact being prompted for an id and password a second time when you are already logged into the OU Portal, then please contact me back via email or call me at the number below.
