where can i find films/videos on social problems in America in the Ottawa library system to show students
Answer
Hi Joanne
If you go to our library catalog in the OU Library Page on the portal you will find a list of DVD's that the library owns regarding social issues here are some examples of DVD's that we can lend to you. If you have a face to face course then you could use them in that situation.
If this is an online class then I would suggest looking at Counseling and Therapy in Video Collection and doing a search for videos there, there are a number of clips in those that might be useful to you and they can be linked to the course.
Here are some of the DVD's we have
It's elementary (gay rights)
That's a family (family diversity)
Credit Jepardy
In debt we trust (the debt crisis)
Breaking the silence
How to survive a plague (AIDS crisis)
Sicko ( the medical situation in the US)
Let me know if you have any other questions regarding finding videos for your class.
