can we receive reading materials via email from textbooks while we await our textbooks to arrive. I'm falling behind.
I am waiting on the arrival of my most needed textbooks. I couldn't afford to purchase them online. I still need to read the materials to fulfill assignment requirements. Can I have access to these materials online until my textbooks arrive?
Answer
Hello Amber
I am afraid we have no access to your textbooks at all in any format or via online courses. As a professor, I would not have any access to your course but only the ones I am teaching myself.
I am afraid that the library does not buy or order any university textbooks unless your professor is on the main campus and they bring a textbook to be put on reserve. Or if a special request for that was made by your professor. They have the choice to make their textbook available to students, but many do not as they expect the student to be timely in purchasing the book.
Unfortunately, since you are at a distance and online this would not happen. I am afraid you would have to wait for your textbook to arrive. But you might email your professor and tell them of your current problem and ask if they or one of the students in your class could copy and send you the first chapter readings because you are still waiting for your books.
Thanks.
