Question about books purchased

Question about books purchased
Dear Librarian,

Recently, I purchased a used a three volume set of books from a third party on Amazon.
The volumes are titled Summa Theologiae Moralis ad mentem sancti Thomae et ad normam iuris novi, edited by Benedictus Henricus Merkelbach, OP,  published by Desclee in Paris 1931-1933.  The books are in the Latin language.
There are stamps of Universitas Seminarium Ottaviensis  and Universitas OMI Ottawiensis in the book.
Each book has a sticker on the inside cover with 717m CP.    There seem to be no other stickers.

I believe your university was once run by a religious order of the Catholic Church.
I assume that these volumes had been discarded and hence were offered for sale.
However, I wanted to check to with you to make sure they were indeed legitimately sold to me since I did not find a "withdrawn/discarded" stamp.
I gratefully, appreciate your response.

Thank you.

Daniel

Answer

Hello Daniel

Thanks for your email, but I am afraid you have emailed Ottawa University located in Ottawa, Kansas, United States. We are and have always been a private Baptist Institution, founded in 1865 in Ottawa, Kansas.

Based on the information you have sent about the book, I think that you are trying to make contact with the University of Ottawa, in Ottawa, Canada, so you might try contacting that university at   https://biblio.uottawa.ca/en

Thank you very much.
