Question: I am having a hard time with opening anything. the search works but when I pull up an article, there is not a pdf file for me to open and read the article. Am I doing something wrong?

Answer
HI Patty
That would depend on the database you are using. If you are using Ebscohost then it is best that before you enter your search terms in the search box to conduct your search you go below the search box and checkmark full-text and peer-reviewed options. If you don't limit your search then you will most likely find mostly abstracted articles and not full-text. Abstracted articles do not include the full-text and there are articles like that in our database since we have 85% full-text. Once you have limited your search to full-text and scholarly, only then should you enter your search terms into the box and conduct your search. That is always the rule of thumb for Ebscohost. For other databases you will have to check for the tutorials we have included with them on the Online Library Databases page.
Thanks. Email me back if you have any further questions.
